The Canines-N-Kids Foundation and the Osteosarcoma Collaborative are joining forces to raise funds for research in osteosarcoma, a devastating disease that is virtually identical in children and in our canine best friends. By funding collaborative research among top minds in pediatric and veterinary oncology, we can leverage the study and treatment of osteosarcoma in canine cancer patients to inform pediatric osteosarcoma research. The goal is to speed up the development of new medicines and a cure for both of these vulnerable patient groups - a rare win-win in an area of cancer research that has been woefully underfunded and with no real progress in 40 years!
